We’re on a mission to take every journey beyond the ordinary for millions of people all over the globe, empowering them to transform their travel experience with technology that’s a joy to use.
Like many companies in the current climate, we've been given a chance to take stock and really delve into what tech consumers need from the travel industry. This has given us a very exciting roadmap of truly innovative products that we're certain are going to revolutionise the way tech is used within travel.
This is where you come in!
We're looking for a new Software Engineer to come and be part of building these awesome new products from scratch. We already have a stellar team who have accomplished great things the past year, and now we need someone to come and hit the ground running as part of these new products.
Since we work in an XP environment, collaboration is in our DNA - we pair on a regular basis and avoid having silos of information, so each one of our polyglot developers will touch every part of the tech stack. From the infrastructure in terraform, the deployment in clusters, monitoring, alerting, coding of the different apps and APIs.
We have 2 native mobile apps that we’re continuously developing, for Android and iOS. We also have backend and databases to continue evolving and maintaining.
Our ideal candidate
- A degree in computer science or equivalent, and a wealth of relevant commercial experience in a variety of programming languages (Node.js, JavaScript, Typescript, React.js, PHP, AWS, Docker)
- A passion for new technology; you are truly language agnostic and able to pick up new languages quickly.
- You are mindful of security and handling sensitive data.
- You have a solid understanding of Git and its workflows and writing test code comes as second nature to you.
- You have worked with a wide variety of technologies across front-end, back-end, DevOps and product development.
- Great written and verbal communication skills that allow you to discuss problems and develop solutions with technical and non-technical stakeholders - you’re used to, and enjoy, working cross-functionally and with external stakeholders.
- Experience in gathering and documenting functional and technical solutions.
- Experience in pair programming a plus, interest in XP a must
And in return...
- A fantastic opportunity to join a global software company, and shape the growth of our platform.
- A chance to work in and help shape an XP environment where continuous improvement isn’t just something we talk about - it's who we are.
- Health insurance via Vitality with added extras that encourage you to get out, get active and stay healthy.
- Comprehensive benefits package including stock options, enhanced parental leave, workplace nursery benefit, and free upgrades!
We're currently taking a flexible approach to where our team work - we have a great office next to Spitalfields market should you wish to use it, or we're happy for people to be fully remote, although for the time being, you will need to be in the UK.
